HDOMovies: a bright catalogue of movies and series in HD
HDOMovies is built to feel light and quick. The page is a soft off-white, the mark is a teal ring with a play arrow inside, and every title sits on a rounded card with a small teal score chip. At the top of the home page, five posters lean against each other in a loose collage beside the headline, and under them a row of mood pills sends you straight to action, comedy, horror or animation. Everything leads to one place: the Watch now button, which opens the title in HD on the services that carry it in your country.
This guide covers HDOMovies from the header to the last card. It starts with the layout: the collage, the mood pills, the cards, the numbered top ten, the title and series pages and Watch now. It then walks through the catalogue, from this year's films and Hollywood favourites to long-running series and Korean and Japanese cinema. It ends with the practical side of watching: picture quality, subtitles, phones and TVs, My List, free and paid services, and staying safe.
The header
The header is white and stays at the top of the screen as you scroll. On the left sits the HDOMovies mark: the letters HD in navy, then the teal ring with its small play arrow standing in for the O, then the word movies in teal. It reads at a glance, even at a small size on a phone.
Beside the mark run the main links, Home, Movies, TV Series, Trending, Top IMDb and Genres, each one a soft rounded pill that turns pale teal when you point at it and solid teal when it is the page you are on. On the right, a rounded search box and a navy My List button complete the bar.
On narrower screens the links fold into a teal Menu button, and on a phone the search box moves to its own line under the mark so it is easy to reach with a thumb.
The collage
The home page opens with a wide band in pale teal, with a faint ring drawn behind it that echoes the O in the mark. On the left, a small teal label, a large navy headline and a short paragraph explain the site, followed by a row of white pill links to Trending, New movies, TV Series, the Top 10, Korean and Japanese films and My List.
On the right, five featured posters are arranged like photographs dropped on a table, each tilted at a slightly different angle with a white border and a soft shadow. Point at one and it straightens up and moves to the front.
The collage changes with the featured titles, which at the moment include The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Project Hail Mary, Toy Story 5 and Stranger Things.
Mood pills
Directly under the collage, a row of pills starts with the words Pick a mood. Each pill leads to a collection: Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Sci-fi, Animation, Superheroes, Korean and Japanese, and Classics.
The pills are there for the evenings when you know the feeling you want and are still choosing the title. One tap opens a page of cards for that mood, most popular first.
The same collections, and a few more for series and decades, are listed further down the home page with their number of titles.
Rounded cards
Every title on HDOMovies appears on the same rounded card. The poster fills a tall tile with softly curved corners and a light shadow, and a small teal chip in the lower left corner shows the audience score.
Under the poster, the title appears in bold navy, trimmed neatly if it is long, with the year and the word Movie or TV Series in grey underneath. Point at a card and it lifts slightly, its shadow growing, to show it is ready to open.
The cards line up six to a row on a wide screen, four on a tablet and two on a phone, and the same design is used on every page, from genres and years to search results and My List.
Sections on the home page
After the mood pills, the home page is a series of sections, each with a large navy heading on the left and a teal See all link on the right. Trending now comes first, with twelve of the most popular titles this week.
New movies follows with the twelve most recent films by release date, and TV series with twelve of the most popular shows. After the top ten, Korean and Japanese brings twelve favourites from East Asia.
The page ends with the collections as a cloud of pills, the help pages as small cards, and this guide in a white rounded panel of its own.
The numbered top ten
The top ten is the one section that uses a list rather than cards. Each entry is a white rounded row with a large teal number, a small poster, the title in bold, the year and genres in grey, and the score with a star.
The list ranks titles by TMDB audience score, counting only those with at least five hundred votes, so long-loved classics and the best-received new releases compete on equal terms. The Shawshank Redemption, Spirited Away and Parasite usually sit near the top.
A link beside the heading opens the full Top IMDb list of one hundred, and the top ten guide explains how the scores work.
The title page
Every film and series has its own page. The poster sits in a rounded frame beside the title, the original title, the year, the runtime or seasons and the genres, followed by the story and two buttons: a teal Watch now and Add to My List.
A panel of facts lists the original title, release date, original language, country, runtime, studio and the audience score with its votes. The cast and creators appear as chips, and similar titles close the page.
Each page has a clean address based on the title and its TMDB number, so links you share keep working.
Series pages
Series pages add a list of seasons, each with its own page listing every episode in order with its title and air date.
Beside each episode is a Reached this episode button. Press it and HDOMovies remembers your place; the series page and My List then show where you left off.
The TV series guide explains the season pages, and the latest episodes page lists new episodes from every show by air date.
Watch now
Watch now is the teal button on every title page. It leads to a panel where you pick your viewing country, and then opens the title on JustWatch, the directory that tracks which services carry each title in each country.
JustWatch lists subscriptions such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max or Peacock, rental and purchase stores such as Google TV and Apple TV, and free services with adverts where they exist. One more click opens the title in that service.
The listings are updated daily, so Watch now always shows where a title is today. The How to watch guide walks through each step.
Your viewing country
What you can watch depends on where you are, so HDOMovies asks for your viewing country once. The United States comes first, followed by the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, the Philippines, Ireland, New Zealand and others.
The choice is saved in your browser and used on every title page after that.
The country in the facts panel is different: it tells you where a title was made, such as South Korea for Parasite or Japan for Your Name..
Search
The search box reads titles, original titles, cast and directors, so it works for names as well as titles. Type Nolan for his films, Bong Joon Ho for his, or the name of an actor you want to follow.
Extra words people often add, such as hdo movies, movie, 1080p, download or full, are skipped automatically, and season and episode numbers are understood.
The search page adds filters for type, genre, year, language, status, minimum rating and order. The Finding a title guide has examples.
This year's films
The New movies section is where this year's releases arrive. The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Project Hail Mary, Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, The Mandalorian and Grogu and Supergirl lead the list, with Masters of the Universe and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie adding fantasy and family fun.
Last year's big films stay close at hand: Avatar: Fire and Ash, Zootopia 2, Jurassic World Rebirth and War of the Worlds. Each has its own page with runtime, cast and score.
New films reach rental and subscription services at different times in each country. The New on HDOMovies guide explains the timing.
Superheroes
The Superheroes collection is one of the busiest on HDOMovies. The Marvel story runs from The Avengers and Iron Man 2 through Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame to Deadpool & Wolverine.
Spider-Man appears in Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home and the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and DC brings The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, The Batman and Joker.
On the series side, The Boys, INVINCIBLE, Loki, Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continue the story on the small screen.
Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan's films are some of the most searched on any film site, and HDOMovies has the major ones. Inception builds a heist inside dreams, Interstellar crosses a wormhole in search of a new home, and Oppenheimer follows the scientist behind the atomic bomb.
His Batman films, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, remain landmarks, and The Odyssey brings Homer's hero home this year.
Type Nolan in the search box to see them together, each card with its score and year.
Science fiction and spectacle
Science fiction is where a good screen pays off. Dune and Dune: Part Two bring Frank Herbert's desert planet to life, Blade Runner 2049 returns to a rain-soaked future, and Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: Fire and Ash take place on Pandora.
Mad Max: Fury Road is a chase across the wasteland, Top Gun: Maverick puts real jets on screen, and The Matrix still defines what action cinema can be.
The Sci-fi and fantasy collection lists them all.
Wizards and rings
The long sagas sit together on HDOMovies. The Harry Potter films run from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, each with its own page and runtime.
Middle-earth has The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power goes back to the Second Age.
The Hunger Games films, including The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, complete a weekend of long stories.
Animation and family
Families have plenty to choose from. Pixar brings Toy Story 2, Inside Out, Coco and Toy Story 5; DreamWorks and Illumination bring Despicable Me, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Wild Robot; and Disney brings The Lion King and Zootopia 2.
Coraline is a darker fairy tale, Real Steel a boxing robot story for older children, and Minions & Monsters is pure fun.
Studio Ghibli's films add another kind of magic, covered in the Japanese section below. The Animation and family collection lists every film.
Before 2010
The Before 2010 collection gathers favourites from the 1990s and 2000s. The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and Titanic are the dramas people return to again and again.
Pulp Fiction, Fight Club and The Matrix changed the films that followed them, and Ocean's Eleven made heists fun again.
The Lion King and Toy Story 2 remain family favourites across generations.
Thrillers and horror
For a tense evening, HDOMovies has thrillers and horror in good supply. Gone Girl turns a disappearance into a mystery, Django Unchained is Tarantino's take on the western, and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood is a love letter to 1960s Los Angeles.
The Conjuring is a haunted-house classic, and new arrivals include Insidious: Out of the Further, Evil Dead Burn and Backrooms.
The Horror and thrillers collection lists them all.
Crime and drama series
The series shelf is built for weekends. Reacher follows a drifter who solves crimes, Better Call Saul traces the rise of Saul Goodman, Peaky Blinders follows a Birmingham gang after the First World War, and Fargo tells a new dark story each season.
Yellowstone follows a ranching family defending its land, The Blacklist a criminal who helps the FBI, and House of Cards a politician's climb to power.
True Detective and You add suspense. The Drama and crime series collection lists them all.
Fantasy and sci-fi series
Fantasy fans can follow House of the Dragon in Westeros, The Witcher on the Continent and Vikings across the North Sea.
Science fiction brings Stranger Things, Westworld, FROM and The 100, and superheroes bring The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Gotham.
The Mandalorian continues the Star Wars story. The Sci-fi and fantasy series collection gathers them.
Comedy series
Shorter episodes make comedy series easy company. Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a precinct of lovable detectives, Young Sheldon tells the childhood of a genius, and Cobra Kai brings The Karate Kid back with humour and heart.
Rick and Morty is animated science-fiction comedy for grown-ups, and Lucifer mixes crime cases with a devilish lead.
The Comedy series collection lists them all.
Korean cinema
Korean cinema has a strong place on HDOMovies. Parasite won the Oscar for best picture, Train to Busan made zombies terrifying again, and The Wailing and Exhuma draw on Korean folk beliefs.
Decision to Leave, I Saw the Devil, The Man from Nowhere and The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil are thrillers with a sharp edge, and Snowpiercer is science fiction on a train circling a frozen world.
20th Century Girl is a gentle coming-of-age story, and Colony one of this year's new arrivals.
Japanese cinema and anime
Japanese films cover two worlds. Studio Ghibli brings Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Arrietty, When Marnie Was There, The Cat Returns and The Boy and the Heron.
Makoto Shinkai brings Your Name., Weathering with You and Suzume, and anime series films include Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle and Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
Live action includes Godzilla Minus One, Shin Godzilla, Shoplifters and Perfect Days. The Korean and Japanese guide has more.
The 2010s
The 2010s collection covers a busy decade. Inception, The Avengers, Interstellar, Mad Max: Fury Road and Blade Runner 2049 filled cinemas, and The Imitation Game and Gone Girl won over critics.
Series from the decade include Better Call Saul, Peaky Blinders, Stranger Things and Westworld.
The The 2010s collection lists films and series together.
Picture quality
HD is part of the name, and the services behind every Watch now button deliver it. Their players move between 720p and 1080p to match your connection, keeping playback smooth on a busy network and sharp on a fast one. Premium plans on the major services add 4K with HDR for many recent films and series, which makes a real difference on a large television.
A few titles on HDOMovies are made to show off a good screen: Dune: Part Two, Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick among the films, and House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power among the series. They are worth saving for the biggest screen in the house.
Most apps let you fix a quality or choose a data-saving mode. The Picture quality guide explains the settings in each one.
Subtitles and audio
Subtitles come from the service you open, translated and timed for its own copy of the title, so the words land exactly where they should. To switch them on, open the speech-bubble or audio menu in the player and pick a language; most apps remember the choice for everything you watch afterwards.
The same menu changes the audio. Animated films often carry dubbed tracks in several languages, and Korean and Japanese films are usually offered in their original language with subtitles, which is how most fans prefer to watch Parasite or Spirited Away.
The original language of every title is shown on its page before you start. The Subtitles and audio guide has more.
Mobile data
Watching on mobile data is common, so it helps to know the numbers. An hour of standard definition uses well under a gigabyte, an hour of 1080p about three gigabytes, and 4K several times more.
Every major streaming app has a mobile data setting. Choose a data-saving mode on the move and the best quality on Wi-Fi, and a monthly plan lasts far longer.
Downloading at home is the other answer: a film or a few episodes saved in the service's app over Wi-Fi play later in full quality with no data used on the way.
Downloads for later
Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and most other major services let you download films and episodes inside their apps. They play on planes, trains and anywhere the signal drops, at the quality you chose when downloading.
Downloads stay available while your subscription is active, with a viewing window once you start. You can pick a smaller file for a phone or a larger one for a tablet.
From HDOMovies the path is short: find the title, press Watch now, choose a service that offers downloads, and save it before you travel.
HDOMovies on a phone
HDOMovies keeps its bright look on a phone. The links fold into the teal Menu button, which opens a drawer just under the header with the search box and every link; the search box also sits on its own line under the mark.
The collage shrinks but keeps its tilted posters, the mood pills wrap onto several lines, and the cards line up two to a row. The top ten becomes a single column of rows, easy to scroll with a thumb.
For one-tap access, add HDOMovies to your home screen from the browser menu. Titles play in each service's official app; the Apps and devices guide explains more.
On the television
The simplest way to watch on a TV is to find the title on your phone, then open it in the same service's app on your smart TV or streaming stick, signed in with the same account.
Chromecast and AirPlay send a title from the phone's app to the TV in one tap, and the phone becomes the remote.
HDOMovies also opens in a TV's web browser, where the large cards and clear type are easy to read from across the room.
My List
My List keeps the titles you want to watch. Press Add to My List on any title page, and the title joins the My List page as a rounded card, just like everywhere else on the site.
For series, My List also shows Where you left off: the episode you marked with Reached this episode, with a link back to its season.
The list lives in your browser and works immediately. Export My List saves a small file you can import on another device. The My List guide has ideas for filling it.
Collections
Collections are ready-made shelves for every mood. For films there are action and adventure, comedy, drama, horror and thrillers, sci-fi and fantasy, animation and family, superheroes, Korean and Japanese, and before 2010.
For series there are drama and crime, sci-fi and fantasy, and comedy. Two decade shelves, the 2010s and the 2020s, mix films and series together, and New in 2026 gathers this year's titles.
The Collections page lists every shelf with its number of titles, and the mood pills under the collage lead to the most popular ones.
Free and legal
Watching free and legally is possible in most countries. Tubi, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Plex and YouTube's free movies carry films and series with adverts, and public broadcasters such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, SBS On Demand and ABC iview stream free where you live.
Many public libraries include access to Kanopy or Hoopla with a library card, a quiet way to watch classics and award winners.
Watch now marks the free options for your viewing country. The Free and legal viewing guide gathers more.
Official services
In the United States, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Peacock, Paramount+ and Apple TV carry most of the films and series on HDOMovies; Prime Video carries Reacher and The Boys, and Max carries House of the Dragon.
In the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia the global services are joined by local ones, and in India JioHotstar, ZEE5 and SonyLIV add their own libraries. Google TV and Apple TV rent and sell titles one at a time.
Watch now lists every option for a title on one page. The Official services guide compares them.
The official HDOMovies
This HDOMovies has one fixed address, shown in your browser, with its own design, writing and title pages. Bookmark it or add it to your home screen and it always opens with your country and My List in place.
Look-alike pages are easy to spot by their pop-ups and app prompts, and every Watch now button on HDOMovies leads to JustWatch and official services.
The Official site and Site status guides explain what to check if something looks different.
Staying safe
HDOMovies shows posters, details and links to JustWatch and official services, and every button goes exactly where its label says.
Official services protect your device, give you reliable subtitles and HD picture, and pay the people who make films and series. Every rental and subscription helps the next one get made.
Elsewhere, leave any page that opens windows on its own, shows fake virus warnings or asks for card details. The Safety guide has a short list of signs to watch for.
Why HDOMovies looks the way it does
Many film sites are dark. HDOMovies is deliberately bright: an off-white page, white cards and a clear navy type that stays easy to read in daylight, on a phone on the bus or on a laptop at the kitchen table. The teal accent marks everything you can act on, from the score chips to the Watch now button.
The ring in the mark is the O in the name and a simple play symbol at once, and it returns throughout the site: faintly behind the collage, as a small ring before each heading in this guide, and in the icon on your home screen.
Rounded corners and soft shadows keep the pages friendly, and the tilted collage adds a little personality to the top of the home page while leaving the cards in charge.
What trending means
Trending now is ordered by popularity on TMDB at the time of the last catalogue update. It reflects what people are looking at this week: a new release, a series that has just returned, or a classic that has suddenly become a talking point again.
Because popularity moves quickly, the Trending section is the part of HDOMovies that changes most from week to week. The full Trending page lists every title in the same order.
Trending is a good place to start when you want what everyone else is watching; the top ten is better when you want something already proven.
Planning by runtime
Every film page shows the runtime in minutes, and every series page the number of seasons and dated episodes, which helps when time is short. A comedy of ninety minutes fits a weeknight; an epic like Oppenheimer or The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is for a free evening.
Series episodes range from half an hour for comedies such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine to an hour or more for dramas such as Better Call Saul and House of the Dragon.
Knowing the length in advance makes it easier to choose the right title for the time you have.
Weekly or all at once
Some series release a whole season at once, others one episode a week. HDOMovies lists every episode with its air date, so you can see at a glance whether a season is complete or still unfolding.
For a complete season, a weekend can cover it; for a weekly show, the latest episodes page tells you when the next one has arrived.
Either way, the Reached this episode button keeps your place, so you can return to any series after a break and pick up exactly where you stopped.
Five evenings on HDOMovies
A Nolan night: Inception followed by Interstellar. A Studio Ghibli night: Spirited Away and then Howl's Moving Castle. A Korean night: Train to Busan and Parasite.
A family night: Coco with the whole family, then Inside Out for anyone still awake. A series weekend: the first season of Reacher or Stranger Things.
Add each plan to My List in advance and the evening is ready when you are.
Date night
For a date night, romance and comedy are the classic choices, and a well-loved drama rarely goes wrong. Titanic remains the great screen love story, and The Love Hypothesis is one of this year's romantic comedies.
Your Name. is a romance with a twist that works for anime fans and newcomers alike, and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood is a stylish evening for film lovers.
Check the runtime on each page, and save your choice to My List so it is ready when the evening begins.
Horror night
Horror works best in company and with the lights down. Start with a modern classic like The Conjuring, move to a Korean chiller such as Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum or The Wailing, and finish with a new arrival like Evil Dead Burn.
Train to Busan is a zombie film that is as moving as it is frightening, and FROM is a series for those who prefer their dread slow and steady.
The Horror mood pill under the collage opens the whole shelf.
Genres, years and languages
Beyond the collections, HDOMovies has a page for every genre, every year and every original language in the catalogue. Genre pages list titles in a genre from action to western; most titles carry more than one genre, so they appear on several pages.
Year pages group titles by release year, from this year back to the 1990s, and language pages group them by the language they were made in, which is a quick way to find Korean or Japanese titles.
The A-Z page lists every title alphabetically, handy when you remember how a title begins.
How scores work
The number in the teal chip on each card is the TMDB audience score out of ten, taken from the votes of people who rated the title on TMDB. It appears once a title has at least twenty votes, so very new titles may show their score a few days after release.
The top ten and the Top IMDb page use the same score but only count titles with at least five hundred votes, which keeps the ranking steady.
TMDB and IMDb scores usually agree on older titles and can differ a little on new ones while votes are still arriving.
How the catalogue is chosen
HDOMovies covers the titles most people want to watch. Films come from this year's releases and from the most popular titles of the last decade and a half, with a set of favourites from the 1990s and 2000s. Series come from the English-language shows audiences keep returning to.
Korean and Japanese films are chosen from the most popular and best-rated in each language, so the shelf holds both crowd-pleasers and critics' favourites.
HDOMovies is a catalogue for a general audience. Titles sold on explicit sexual content are left out, so every section is comfortable to browse with anyone nearby.
Where the information comes from
Posters, titles, stories, genres, runtimes, seasons, episodes, casts and audience scores come from TMDB, the community film and television database used around the world.
Where to watch comes from JustWatch, updated daily for every country. The help pages and this guide are written for HDOMovies.
The catalogue is refreshed regularly, so new films and seasons arrive and scores settle as votes come in.
Your data
HDOMovies keeps very little about you, and all of it in your own browser: My List, your viewing country and the episodes you marked, in local storage on your device.
Export My List creates a small file you keep; clearing the site's data in your browser settings empties everything at once.
Posters load from TMDB's image servers and the font from Google Fonts. The privacy page explains the details.
Easy to use
Every card, pill, button and link on HDOMovies can be reached with the keyboard, and a skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the content.
Text is dark on light backgrounds with strong contrast, and every button is large enough to tap comfortably on a phone.
The layout reflows from six cards a row on a wide screen to two on a phone, so every page stays readable at every size.
A first visit
On a first visit, everything is ready at once: the collage shows the featured titles, the mood pills offer a starting point, and the sections below show what is trending and new.
The only question HDOMovies asks is your viewing country, the first time you press Watch now, and it remembers the answer after that.
From there, search, the mood pills and the top ten are all you need to find tonight's film or series.
Where to start
If you want what everyone is watching, start with Trending now. If you want something new, open New movies. If you want something proven, pick from the top ten.
If you know the title, type it in the search box. If you know the mood, tap a pill under the collage.
When you find it, press Watch now to see where it plays in HD in your country, and add the next one to My List. Enjoy the show.
Westerns and wide spaces
Westerns have found new life on television, and HDOMovies follows them. Yellowstone follows the Dutton family and their Montana ranch through land disputes, politics and fierce family loyalty, and it has become one of the most watched dramas of recent years.
Westworld reimagines the western as science fiction, with a theme park of artificial hosts who begin to remember who they are, and Django Unchained is Quentin Tarantino's bold film take on the genre.
Together they make a good starting point for anyone who likes stories set in wide open landscapes, and each one has a page with its seasons or runtime.
Series for the whole family
Some series work for every age in the room. Young Sheldon is gentle comedy about a gifted boy in Texas, Cobra Kai mixes martial arts with family humour, and Stranger Things suits older children with its friendships and adventures.
Animated films fill the gaps between episodes: Inside Out, Coco and The Wild Robot are safe choices for a family evening.
Streaming services offer children's profiles that keep choices age-appropriate, and the Animation mood pill opens the family shelf in one tap.
An evening in East Asia
An evening of Korean and Japanese cinema shows how different two neighbouring film cultures can be. Start with the warmth of Ponyo or The Cat Returns, then switch to the tension of The Man from Nowhere or Decision to Leave.
For something in between, Shoplifters is a tender Japanese family drama and 20th Century Girl a nostalgic Korean romance.
Most services offer these films with subtitles in many languages, and some with dubbed tracks as well.
A classic night
The Before 2010 shelf is perfect for a classic night. Start with The Shawshank Redemption, one of the most loved films ever made, and follow it with The Green Mile for a second story from the same author.
For something faster, The Matrix and Ocean's Eleven make a sharp double bill, and Pulp Fiction is a classic for grown-up evenings.
The Classics mood pill opens the whole shelf, most popular first.
Starting a long series
Long series can feel like a commitment, so a little planning helps. Check the number of seasons and episodes on the series page, pick a pace, and mark your place as you go.
Series with self-contained seasons, like Fargo and True Detective, let you start anywhere; long stories like Fear the Walking Dead and The Handmaid's Tale reward starting from the first episode.
The season pages list every episode with its air date, and Where you left off on My List brings you back to the right place.
How HDOMovies stays current
HDOMovies is refreshed regularly. New films and seasons arrive, the Trending and New movies sections update, and the top ten shifts as scores settle.
Watch now reads JustWatch's daily listings, so the path to watching is current whatever the day.
My List stays exactly as you left it between visits, in your own browser.
More about the moods
The mood pills are a shortcut to the collections that answer the most common question: what kind of film do I feel like tonight? Action and adventure is for energy, comedy for laughter, drama for something that stays with you, and horror for a thrill.
Sci-fi opens other worlds, animation opens family evenings, superheroes open the big franchises, and Korean and Japanese open two of the world's most exciting film cultures.
Classics, the last pill, leads back to the films that shaped the others.
Action night
For an evening of pure momentum, the action shelf has plenty. Mad Max: Fury Road is a two-hour chase that barely pauses for breath, Top Gun: Maverick puts the audience in the cockpit, and Fast X brings the Fast and Furious family back for another round of impossible stunts.
Superhero fans can go big with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame back to back, which together run close to six hours and tell one of the largest stories in modern cinema.
The Action mood pill opens the whole shelf, and each card shows the score before you commit to an evening.
Films worth watching twice
Some films reveal more the second time. Inception rewards attention to its layers of dreams, Gone Girl reads differently once you know the ending, and Parasite is full of details that only make sense on a second viewing.
Blade Runner 2049 and Interstellar also grow with each watch, and films with a late twist are a reason many people keep favourites in My List.
Keeping a small rewatch list is a good way to use My List alongside the titles you have yet to see.
New seasons and returning shows
Returning series move to the front of the TV series section when a new season arrives, because it is ordered by popularity, and new seasons draw attention quickly.
The latest episodes page is the place to check which of your shows has something new; each entry links to its season page, where the new episodes appear with their air dates.
House of the Dragon, The Boys and Reacher are among the series whose new seasons tend to bring them back to the top.
A week of viewing
A simple plan uses every part of HDOMovies across a week. Start Monday with a comedy episode from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, try a Korean thriller on Tuesday, and follow a drama series from Wednesday to Friday with the Reached this episode button keeping your place.
Save Saturday for a new film from the New movies section and Sunday for something from the top ten, or a Studio Ghibli film such as Arrietty or When Marnie Was There for a calm end to the week.
My List holds the whole plan, and the runtime on each page tells you how long each evening will take.
Enjoy the show
HDOMovies is meant to make choosing easy and watching simple. The collage, the mood pills, the sections and the top ten all lead to the same place: a title page with a clear story, honest details and a Watch now button.
Whether tonight calls for a blockbuster, a series you have been meaning to start, or a quiet Japanese film, the path is the same, and your country and My List are remembered for next time.
Thank you for visiting, and enjoy whatever you choose.
